*To make jalapeño simple syrup, heat 1/2 cup water in a saucepan. Add ½ cup sugar and stir until dissolved. Add sliced jalapeño and simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off heat and let mixture steep for 30 min. Strain into a clean container.
